I woke up this morning with more gratitude and hope than I’ve felt in a long time. And that’s all thanks to the millions of voters who went to the polls in unusually high numbers all over our country yesterday — and brought the people’s House back to the people.
Your support for the past two years has lifted me up when I’ve resisted in Washington, DC, during town halls in LA where you voiced your concerns, when I traveled to the border to meet with detained families, and on countless campaign stops for myself and my colleagues.
Thank you for everything you’ve done for me, our district, and our country. And now the work begins all over again. Today’s the start of our next campaign. It’s the beginning of our effort to hang on to the seats we gained this week. It’s the continuation of our resistance. And it’s the first step on our long march to take back the White House.
In the coming weeks, I’ll be reaching out to get your feedback on many important issues, and I’ll be letting you know how you can get involved in upcoming town halls and events.
But for now, we can celebrate and be thankful that we have the privilege to continue fighting for our community.
